Content Management in Hugo
The title of this series of articles may perhaps require a brief explanation. First and foremost, content refers to the things that appear on websites. The management of content is done through file system operations and the so-called front matter of text files.
Files and directories are created according to a predefined scheme. Because of this, Hugo can derive the type and structure of the content from their arrangement within the directory tree.
It is important to familiarize yourself with the purposes of the various subdirectories, reserved file names and front-matter fields, as well as with the different content types that can be created. These aspects are explained in the following sections.
